Plants grow best in full sun, but need at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight each day to produce lots of blooms. Water regularly but be careful— overwatering can create root problems. Pansies thrive in soil rich in organic matter. For pots, choose a soil mix specifically for containers.
